After creating my online shop, I had a hankering to create a new image in full color – an improvised, unrehearsed, unplanned, just-go-for-it type of image, just like how I’ve been creating the ink drawings. But this time, I want to make it digital and in full color, and in Photoshop.

Update on Tuesday, November 30, 2021

The content of this image is intentionally improvised (created spontaneously or without preparation). As I worked on the form, and wanted it to be “final”, it just wasn’t complete. So I cut off the top “head” above the mouth, and created a new round top, and then an image came to mind, something completely unexpected, and so this is what I am working on now.

The success of an image like this is the refinement of the details, this is where the believability comes into play. Without all of the subtle (and time consuming) details, this image would fail to deliver any attention.

This project took 2-1/2 weeks to complete

Before I developed this current image, I created my online shop, shop.billyreynolds.com,to a satisfactory level, wherein I just focused on the 30 ink drawings that I had created in the past couple of years. I was trying to add all of my small studies and all of my 60 collages to my shop, but it was just too much to complete all of this in one phase (and I’d still be working on it). So for now, it’s best that I have my online shop limited to only the 30 ink drawings.

I’ve also custom-created my main website, billyreynolds.com. Then for 2 months, I focused on creating (and ranking in a custom-built spreadsheet) 500 unique and original NFTs, and I documented it all on new website that I created for this, oddoddlings.com.

So let’s see where this creature (close up below) ends up taking us!
